Dont understand why Prt function is not accesible on the Ipad version, while being available for iphone...

IB Chat is not working properly

The IB chat is not working all the times. I have spoken to Bloomberg already and they are working on a solution for it since 3 weeks. Until the problem is solved its not useable for me

Requires subscription

They should mention that it requires a subscription...

Bloomberg anywhere

Doesnt work. Need a ID and password, no explanation of how to get them.

Excellent app

All the features of a Bloomberg workstation (except for launchpad) now available on an iPad! Interface is easy to use. Provides access to two panels and IB Manager + real time quotes

Good start, room to improve

First off, this apps is not for you if you are not already a bloomberg anywhere customer. That out of the way, my benchmark is the blackberry version that I regularly use. This version is very nice by comparison. There are two modes. One, you log into using your bloomberg id. From there you can log into a citrix-like bloomberg anywhere where you can see your familiar screen real estate from a regular bloomberg session. Youre warned not to do this with a 3G connection. I found that I can live with the first mode but noted a few alpha software type glitches. When reconfiguring the panels for the front screen the whole app fails to launch. Ive tried two versions but the only fix is a re install. I complained on bbg chat "help help" that the chat functions were only available in the terminal login mode. They told me they were working on adding this feature to the main screen. Pros: looks nice, lots of screen real estate Cons: not as stable as the blackberry version (yet) and no chat functionality without the high bandwidth terminal login

Live the app!! Worth getting an ipad/iphone just for app

This is amazing!! With the bloomberh anywhere app all my wildest dreams have come true! Im a bloomerg anywhere subscriber and the fact that i have the full bloomberg terminal accessible from my ipad is just wonderful. Sure it doesnt have multiple windows or launchpad as far as i know, but its not supposed to be a replacement for your computer. I just love using the ipad app instead of my computer for smaller tasks. Te iphone bloomberg anywhere app just got released and thats a wonderful Addition to already having an ipad. One minor thing i noticed is that in iphone version on homescreen there is an option for "portolio" where i can go into my individual portfolios and see performance. This is something thats missing from the ipad app. Sometimes i dont want to launch the full terminal and use my b-unit on ipad, and just quickly be ale to glance at world markets commodities and my portfolios from that main page when ipad app starts with the 2x2 grid multiple pages. Would be great if you could add a "portfolio" option to ipad app just like its present on iphone.

No support from iPhone

Improvements keep rolling in but too many bugs come with it. Hyperlinks to full story in message have disappeared in the latest November release. Very odd that theres no support mechanism in place from iPhone.

Agree w Oakvillian...nd pswd & usenm & some other unit #, but no place Togo and set it up....somebody help...

why just 6.0 and up?

just 6.0 n up ver support is a crap

Mr.

Lacks many important functions working on Blackberry. In quote section does not show current bid/offer. IB chat does not work in background mode.Other minor bugs make it useless for professional user. Propose to call it Bloomberg "Elsewhere"...

Great

This is a beautiful app.

Lack native support for 12.9 iPad Pro

The iPad Pro has been out for a long time but the news/message still do not have native support. They do not scale to the full screen and so is the font. Reading is actually more comfortable on the 9.7 iPad.

Requires Subscription

App looks awesome, but requires a Bloomberg subscription. Without a subscription, their older Bloomberg app is recommended, but that one hasnt been updated and has poor ratings. How about updating that app too?

Latest update drains battery much too fast

While the app has always been a battery hog the latest update makes it next to impossible to use due to battery drain. I lost 25% of my battery in 15 minutes.

Look Elsewhere

Once you open it prompts for a subscription or redirects you to their bland news app in the AppStore. Dont even bother with this.

Takes forever to open

This app keeps getting slower and slower, taking forever to open even if I just had the app open. This despite numerous "updates" that all claim to improve speed.
